Trailhead Location:
On Hwy. 395, 23 miles north of Bishop or 15 miles south of Mammoth Lakes turnoff (Hwy. 203), turn onto Rock Creek Road at Tom's Place. Follow the road past Rock Creek Lake to the end of the road at the parking lot at Mosquito Flats. The trail head is well marked.

Dates open:
Usually from late June through October, depending on the snow pack.

Type of camp:
Backpack 5 miles on an easy trail toward Morgan Pass. Highest elevation reached is 10,600 feet.

Permits:
Forest service wilderness permit. No campfires.

Comments:
Purify water, watch for bears and pack out all trash.
